Things I Love Thursday
- Following Stephen Fry on Twitter is hilarious fun. For example: “A kakapo tried to shag the back of my leg. Mark was roughly shagged on the back of his neck. It’s mating time for kakapo: anyone’ll do”
- This Steampunk Lego article is awesome. (Link via Arowin.)
- Summer summer summer is good times. I haven’t been swimming yet. Might try on Sunday when I’m up the coast anyway, if the weather is favourable. I am tempted to start running again, although not tempted enough to actually do it. I enjoy sunshine. I like going brown (although I know it’s bad to). I like basking.
- Visiting my sister and her family, quick quick before they fly away again. I had a hold of the baby last week and he screamed. Then once he’d thrown up and had a nappy change he was much more relaxed and I had another cuddle. He’s heavy though. Also played with nearly-2-year-old niece, which was good.
- Fresh salad. I had to share my Ka Pai salad with Lee yesterday but it was still good. They’ve changed the way they cut up bacon by the way, but it was tasty and good still. Today I made myself a salad at home of green capsicum, celery, baby spinach, almonds, crispy noodles, chopped up Verkirk’s bierstick and dressing. It was nommy, and it leaves me feeling healthy and good.
Honourable Mentions: This letter from her “husband” to Stephenie Meyer, Bundeberg Ginger Beer, the Leuven platter, adorable new shoes, re-reading Harry Potter, experiments with banoffee pie and being warm.

I went swimming several times while up in Ohope. It was good fun! Prior to that I hadn’t been swimming (I think) in over a year.
